Ink Level Detection for CD and DVD Printing

June 2004 - Verity Systems, leading manufacturers of CD and DVD printing systems, have today announced the launch of their unique ink level detection system for their range of auto loading CopyDisc inkjet printing systems.

Users can now see, via an LCD panel, exactly how much ink remains in their black and colour cartridges. The display shows the percentage of the total ink capacity remaining e.g. Black 85% Colour 83%, and users can now confidently send hundreds of discs to print, without the fear of ink running out.

The standalone automatic printer, the CopyDisc1 OptiPrinter and the combined duplicator & printer, the CopyDisc4 OptiPrinter, now include the new ink level detection system as standard.
This advanced ink level detection system can also be set to halt printing as soon as the ink cartridges fall below a certain level, adjustable from 0% to 5%. If the ink detection level is set at 3%, as soon as the capacity of either one of the cartridges has reached 3%, printing will stop. The result …….no more wasted discs!
