The MediaGone 500 shreds materials to less than 4mm in width, guarantees complete media destruction for users across a variety of industries.
Users may safely see the shredding of SSDs, flash drives, discs, or mobile phones live as they go through the destruction process thanks to its clear polycarbonate dome cover designed with reinforced glass.
The MediaGone 500 is the most effective and user-friendly shredder Verity Systems has created to date, illuminated by the newest LED lighting technology. Users can access all of its capabilities, including the option to select fine or coarse cuts for particular shredded particle sizes, using its straightforward touch screen to begin the process.
The MediaGone 500 is available as a tabletop model or mounted to a cabinet on casters for mobility. The tabletop model has a 1 gallon drawer that can be easily removed when it’s full. The cabinet mounted version has an infrared sensing technology that will alert the user via the display screen.
Built with hardened, carbon steel cutters along with its high torque slip free drive, the unit delivers maximum power while still being able to run on an electrical outlet (110-125VAC/60Hz). Thermal sensors protect the unit’s drive train from malfunction or damage. There are multiple safety interlocks and an emergency stop button to ensure operator safety at all times.
Unlike our degaussers, which erase data through powerful magnetic fields, the MediaGone 500 shreds media into tiny pieces, ensuring the highest security destruction and rendering data completely unusable. Shredded particles can also be sent to specialised material companies for recycling if required.
The MediaGone 500 is also fitted with our unique Data Destruction Auditor which enables the user to document and verify media shredding and create data protection audit-ready reports which can be used as evidence of the destruction process. With its enhanced features, the MediaGone 500 is the most effective media shredder on the market.

Easy Operation
The MediaGone 500 can be operated in an office environment and started by following the instructions displayed on its main LCD screen.
Options
Desktop Model: In the stand-alone desktop model, the shredded debris is automatically collected in a 1 gallon drawer accessed from the front of the unit. The drawer simply slides out so the waste can be tipped into a suitable container. The drawer has a clear viewing window allowing the operator to check the waste level at any time.
Mounted on a custom designed Cabinet with Casters: In this version the waste is collected in a 5 gallon container which is easily accessed though a clear polycarbonate door at the front of the unit. The level in the container is constantly monitored and displayed on the LCD. The container is illuminated so the operator can see the level and the light color changes to red when full.
Barcode Scanner: The barcode scanner accessory allows you to scan the serial and part numbers from media, allowing you to speed up the data entry process.

The MediaGone 500 comes with a standard 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. Extended warranties also available (the Cutterbox is not included in extended warranties).
